Clark Woodsby - Executive Vice President

Clark Woodsby is about as Old Florida as a person can get. On his mother’s side, he’s a 5th generation Lakeland native.  In fact, his great, great grandfather was the city’s longest tenured mayor.  On his father’s side is his grandfather Charley, one of the founders of the Red Lobster chain, whose Central Florida legacy dates back to 1963.

Clark’s interest in cooking started at the early age of 11. He recalls taping the PBS Chef Shows to watch when he got home from school and carrying cookbooks in his backpack. After graduating from high school, Clark moved to South Carolina to attend Furman University where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science.  He attended the Culinary Institute of American in Hyde Park, New York. Clark continued his education with an externship in Napa Valley, working under Cindy Pawlcyn at Mustard Grille.

When Woodsby graduated the CIA, he joined Cameron Mitchell Restaurants with a very specific goal in mind.  He wanted to see how a large restaurant group was able to maintain its reputation for being chef-driven. He says he loved the company and the experience he gained there, but those Florida roots of his ran deep. He returned to Central Florida to become the Chef Partner at Talk of the Town’s newest concept, Johnnie’s Hideaway. After a few years Clark left Johnnie’s to become a Senior Operating Partner on the corporate level. He is currently responsible for Vito’s Chop House, Orlando and Charley’s Steak House, Celebration. Clark’s is also the meat and seafood buyer for the entire company.

Clark is married and resides in downtown Orlando. He enjoys cooking, traveling and trying new restaurants in the area. He also enjoys gardening and is an orchid enthusiast.
