Christopher Michael - Executive Chef
Chris is originally from Oklahoma. He and his family moved to Florida in the fall of 1985. He began his cooking career at a fish house in Orlando while in high school. Upon graduation, he attended Limestone College in South Carolina and earned a degree in Sports Medicine. He returned to Florida and fell back into the restaurant business. In 2004, he attended the Orlando Culinary Academy where he graduated with honors. He was part of the opening team for FishBones in Lake Mary, FL. He transferred to MoonFish in the spring of 2007, quickly establishing himself as a team leader. He took on extra responsibilities such as product quality and execution, purchasing, scheduling and inventory control. He was promoted to Culinary Manager in May 2010 and again to Executive Chef in October 2010. During his tenure at MoonFish, Chris has participated in outside catering events and was part of the team when the restaurant was awarded #1 Seafood Restaurant for 2010.
In his free time, Chris loves to spend time with his wife and son. He also enjoys rooting for the Chicago Cubs.
